5 STEPS TO HELP YOU SELECT YOUR MALA
How do you know Mala or gemstone is right for you? Follow these quick steps and mindfully look for the parts that are most consistent with your meditation practice:
1) Observation
If you have crystals, gemstones or Malas now, put them in front of you. Let yourself see all the colors, textures, and shapes.
2) Get comfortable
Grab a cushion and sit in a comfortable seat.
Gently place your hand on your lap, palm up, ready for instruction. Start taking deep breaths. Deep breaths. Grounding. Feel your wishbone as the base, while your upper body feels aligned and light.
3) Deep breathing
As you continue to breathe at your own pace, turn your energy inward. Start connecting to your higher self, your intuition... Give yourself space to breathe and communicate.
4) Ask and listen
As you feel this connection, ask yourself "What crystalline energies do I need today?" "Listen patiently. The answer can be expressed in a word, a color, or the name of rock. Maybe it's a feeling calling you. Appreciate your experience and resist the temptation to "think" about it. Ask as many questions as you can until you find an answer.
5) Trust
Believe in the end result. Slowly return to the room -- take a deep breath, wiggle your fingers, and gently open your eyes. If there are crystals and Malas in front of you, when you open your eyes, believe that the first one you see is what you need today. Take the stone or Mala, and carry it through the day, knowing that its power is all you need.
