5 STEPS TO FOCUS IN 10 MINUTES

5 Steps to Focus in 10 minutes

Step 1: Set aside time each day to focus
You can't find time to focus on yourself every day. The modern world is competitive. People scatter their brains around as they try to start a new day, work 8 hours, and hurry home. In this case, mindfulness is sitting on the couch, soaking in cushions.
We've all been there!
However, if this is indeed your life, you need mindfulness more than anyone else. In fact, doing so will make your life better because you'll be more capable of dealing with the madness of the day on an emotional, psychological and spiritual level.
So, whatever you do, give yourself 10 minutes a day. You can spend 10 minutes in the car waiting for the kids to leave school, 10 minutes before bed, 10 minutes hiding from the kids in the storage room, etc. Give yourself 10 minutes.

Step 2: Find what makes you special
Your mindfulness spot can be anywhere you have a few minutes alone. As we said, if you like, it can sit in the driver's seat of your RV while your kids are at soccer practice. It doesn't matter where you are, it's where you are. It has to be a place where you can live in the moment -- no distractions, no noise, no complaining, no complaining, no fighting, no crying, etc.
Some of our favorite mindfulness places are the backyard, the bathtub, the moors, the car, and the bedroom before bed. But it can be anywhere you want.

Step 3: Comfort
Now that you know your mindfulness's special place, it's time to make it comfortable. You might want to add a mat or even an essential oil diffuser.
Whatever you do, be sure to do it for yourself and increase your comfort and focus in that space. After all, sitting on a hard concrete floor or in grass overrun by ants does not promote mindfulness. Throw a blanket over it and a few pillows, and you have a new safe haven.

Step 4: Grab the Mala bead
As you begin to guide mindfulness, you will want to bring your Mala beads with you. However, each set has a different purpose. Some are meant to convey unconditional love, some to increase creativity, some to promote balance, and many more. So, if you want to do something special on that day, make sure you choose Malas specifically. Otherwise, any method can bring some powerful positive energy.
Once you have your Mala bead selection, put them in your hand and head to go to the next step.

Step 5: Breath
Breathing. Just breathe. Take a deep breath through your nose, pause, and then breathe it out through your mouth, pause. This is the way you learn to breathe in yoga class. Breathe in. Pause. Breathe out. Pause. It helps control your mind, body, and spirit, as well as your breathing, energy, and chakras. So, focus on your breathing. Don't breathe like you normally do. Every time you take in oxygen, you want to get as much oxygen as possible and release as much stress, anxiety, and tension as possible.
There are also many different breathing techniques you can do, all with the main purpose of providing relaxation and concentration. However, some have additional benefits that may be more specific to your situation. We'll discuss this in a future blog post.

Live in the moment
Focus on the present moment as you sit in your special place, breathe and enjoy the peace.
